مع الاسف الاكل صدمني جداً من كثر ماهو سيئ
طلبت بتر تشكن كلها زيت بشكل غريب لدرجة الزيت منقط على الرز وعلى الكيس وعدملي الدنيا ومن كثر الزيت والله ماتقدر تاكل نهائياً
طول عمري اكل بتر تشكن في جميع المطاعم الرخيصه جداً والغاليه عمره ما مر علي بتر تشكن زي هذا اتمنى تعديل جودة المنتج وعمله بالطريقه الصحيحه حفاظاً على سمعة المكان

One thing that I always order “shinwari mutton karahi”. Its the best one. Price wise they re not very expensive.

'Grill n Rice' review

So we visited this restaurant today on recommendation of a very dear friend Ozair Bin Abdul-aziz.

I'll directly jump to the food part and then into small details.

We ordered:

Salad and raita - Salad was the usual with salad leaves, cucumber, and carrot etc. The quantity was also moderate. Raita was very tasty i must say.

Mix grill for 4 persons - This bbq item was too good! From kebabs to malai and chicken boti, everything was very juicy, tender, and moderately spicy. The quantity was also quite fulfulling enough. We were 6 adults and 5 kids and yet there were some remainings in the end.

Shinwari karahi (mutton) - This item stole the show! The meat was very much tender and soft. The taste was very similar to the ones that you get in Khi on highway restaurants like Al-habib and Shaheen Shinwari, etc.

Roghni naan - okay.where do i start from? It was soft, tasty, and served hot! I don't think i have had this kind of roti in Riyadh. The naan doubled the taste of karahi! Maza aa gaya!

Chicken handi - It was good but a bit sweet for me. Everybody else liked it though.

Tawa kebab rice - This item is new to me and i regret not having it earlier. I'm not sure how it was made but my kids called it 'biryani' it had small sized juicy kebabs in it and the taste was also delicious! There was no need of adding raita as it was a complete dish. Highly recommended for rice lovers!

Gulab jamun - It was literally the cherry on the top BBQ tonight's gulab jamun are very famous for its scrumptious taste but i must say they've got competition now! We ordered 9 pieces initially but everyone liked it so much including the kids that we had to order more. They were served hot and the taste was beyond amazing!

Now, the small details.

* The staff was quite welcoming and they also kept inquiring about the food mentioning they'd replace anything if there is an issue (i have no idea why: p)

* The place is good too with a separate family area. But we were a large group of people so they made a special arrangement with segeregation.

* The food is neither too spicy nor too bland. Kids also loved it, especially the kebabs and rice while it was also best suited for adults.

* The location is fine too but i think they should either shift or open another branch somewhere mid city. That would add to the awesomeness.

P. S. I'm not a food blogger. This is probably my second review for any restaurant as i find fun doing it. We paid for the bill that was around SAR 280. So please don't consider it a paid review: p

I loved prawn masala and fish tikka so much. So delish and the quality of food is amazing. Everything was so fresh and served hot. Not to forget kebabs were super yumm.

One stop for kebabs lover. Very great ambience for family dining.

Chicken Biryani was beyond exceptional which was enough for two persons, Chicken Mixed Grill was a really flavorful and all four types of Reshmi kabab, , malai boti, hydrabadi and wings were in different tastes and enjoyed the entire meal.the place is neat and tidy but you would need more patience to reach to this location from center of riyadh passing street markets and alleys but it is worth the drive.

Overall the food was amazing, the service was memorable enough to make sure we return.

Wondering where to go for a budget friendly restaurant then this is the right place which is located in ghubairah.
It was an amazing experience as the food was delicious and quantity was also good enough for 2 people, the staff were very friendly.
The succulent kababs and mixed grill were mouth-watering and mutton shinwari karahi was just perfect with the right amount of spice
Later we were served with chicken handi with naans, it tasted average. This place is definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a pocket friendly restaurant with delicious varieties of food.

Family section: Family Dine space is congested. Family Sitting arrangements not comfortable for eating. Food is not fresh. Ordered Tikka Mix Kabab and chicken Baryani. Prices don't match food quality. Disappointed

Mutton Masala is very tasty. And best thing is very humble and nice guy at the Counter.

Food bad. No taste in food.seemed stale. We ordered chicken 65 but was not available. Family sitting area so small and suffocating.

Bang average food. Had ordered mutton biriyani with kebabs, and what we got was like neutral flavored rice with broiled meat pieces. The kebabs were slightly better though, but still didn't overcome the disappointment of the rice.

The family section is pretty congested and claustrophobic inducing. On the other hand, the dine in section for singles is lavishly put. The washrooms weren't maintained well, especially the ladies one.

Also noticed that a lot of the reviews in here, especially the early ones, are 'written for promotion'. This is a poor way to showcase a rather average place. Expected a lot more.

Price was medium. Seprate family section available. Biriyani wasn’t gud enough. Kadai was also not gud. Tikka masala was gud.

Food was delicious with very economical prices. Sitting area for families was very congested. On weekends it will take a while before food is served to you after ordering.

I will give 2 stars as Service is good but don't try mutton masala, for the remaining menu items let's try again and will share the experience accordingly

This is a very economical n neat n clean restaurant. They have a small family section. Check availability at the counter before going up. The take away service is good as well as staff is friendly

Ramadan Buffet is worth under 34 SAR price tag. Crowd need to be controlled while serving time. Over all recommended. Further, some policy need to be implemented on over filled food and wastage.

Grill n Rice is literally the hidden gem in Gubeirah situated in riyadh. One of the best experiences when it comes to indian food

Ambience-
This restaurant has an entire building to itself with the attractive glass facade with kitchen and reception situated at the ground level while the seating is situated on top. A very clean space and the best part about this place is SUPER AFFORDABLE MENU using high quality ingredients

Food-
Mix Grill with chops Platter- consisting of juicy reshmi kebab, seekh kebab, creamy malai tikka, spicy hyderabadi tikka and crunchy mutton chops. The taste was delectable

Shinwari Karahi- This particular dish is a show stealer literally. The juicy and tendor mutton cuts mixed with the spicy indian gravy for the perfect blend of flavors

Desserts-

Kheer- very thick smooth and creamy and not very sweet.

Gulab jamun- light brown small sized gulab jamun immersed in sheera. They were very soft and good in taste

Service-
The staff was trained and was courteous. The presentation of food was mind blowing and i just couldn’t ask for better serving lip smacking food at such affordable rates

Hey Riyadh people! If you are tired eating the same kind of food at the same places then head out to the newly opened "@grillnrice ".

Since few days there was a buzz about this new restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. And we must say that all that buzz was worth the hype.


We tried the special kadhai chicken and it was just amazing.

The price range and the ambience justifies the authentic Pakistani and Indian taste.

Half - 20 SR incl VAT
Full - 40 SR incl VAT
Our suggestion to the restaurant is that when biryani is served.alteast raita should be served along with it. As they complement each other. We had to order Raita separately.

While ordering any dish.remember that if you want it to taste like authentic desi food then order the spicy one. The regular one is a lil bland.
