Fantastic restaurant with a diverse menu offering delicious food. Indoor and outdoor seating options available, including a separate family area. Enjoyable surroundings add to the overall experience.
Apart from location there is nothing great in this restaurant, horrible ventilation feels like you are sitting in the kitchen worst toilets, staff cannot understand the order placed and food is almost not of any standards.if you have other options avoid this place strictly no no for north Indians
Need to share bad experiense for this service they cahrged additional poor gravi for 5 sr this not good 8 porota I ghee rice an f 2 main course chiken chilly I asked addiyiinal just only small planin gravy (paint) they charged for this ine kjndly see the bill and things
I ate something special Crabs, with their shells still intact, are typically stir-fried in a tomato-chilli sauce. The sauce itself is semi-thick and is both sweet and savoury. We call this the most traditional version of the dish. 1
Beat the heat with this delicious mango shake with mango icecream from The Canteen.
Also we had thalassery chicken dum biriyani and kerala meals. Biriyani reminds me of my hometown. This biriyani was exactly the same what we get in kerala, malabar region.
Kerala meals also was good. Rice with plenty of curries and the fish fry was really good.
The ambience and service also is excellent.
This is my 3rd visit to canteen and I do recommend everyone to try their food.
They also have grilled chicken options, we tried their kanthari alfahm, which was the best in town. We also tried their cream of chicken soup.
Today we went there, order food, porota dry. And they not care customers. And i order 25porota and malabar chicken curry, but price 24 each malabar chicken curry but 2 person use this curry, and we request to them add low qnty gravy also. They not provide anything. Service too poor, my suggection choose another hotel
Theme was just amazing i must say because this running on an train theme for that they added then entire kerala train journey in an lcd screen. Food is average but the ambience was just wow. You can visit with family especially childrens will like the theme most. For the weekends you can spend here and enjoy the variety theme and kerala food also. Thanks
Excellent Southern cuisine Affordable and delightful dosha options Limited availability of certain food items during specific times Considerate seating arrangements to minimize disturbance from smoking Authentic South Indian flavors; no compromise with North Indian taste
It's a nice concept of having the Indian train effect.and in-between you get to listen to the whistle of the train. It truly takes u back to India but to be honest I personally didn't like the food that much. I had a lot of heart burn after a few hrs which wasn't a good feeling (though they were very co-operative and made the food less spicy for me, but there was sumthing in the ingredients can't point out what). This is my opinion may be u will like it since everyone's taste buds are different. So u should go, try them and decide for yourself. Reviews are personal choices, so may be what's good for me may not be good for u and vice versa.until next time ciaoo.stay healthy and fit ya'll.
Indian restaurant which is located at Olaya Riyadh. There we have different Indian types of Indian foods that are available, I don't like the food, but good service and very good behaviour from the staff. Limited parking space. The prices are above average.
Good place and good taste. Liked the very much at 2 SAR. And the half Beef fry at 12 SAR is sufficient for singles. Not sure if other restaurants nearby facilitate this which would be very helpful for bachelors
As a regular customer of your establishment, I was disappointed to experience the same attitude issues with one of your staff members. It has come to my attention that there has been a pattern of similar behavior, and this is unfortunate. This is the third time in the past six months that I have had to overlook an unacceptable level of service; this is unfortunately, unacceptable for any business.
Food is good no doubt. But could have given some more gravy along with the beef fry. Makes it easy to go down.
Come on my dear Kerala restaurants! What’s this mental block in giving enough gravy with dry dishes Charge extra if you feel difficulty in handing it to customers for free.
One of best Indian restaurant in riyad. It has North Indian, South Indian and chinese dishes. Most of the special south indian dishes are delicious. Restaurants ambiance is good. Family area has enough privacy. There is no dedicated parking area. Nearby there is common parking area but during peak times its bit difficult to find parking. Service is excellent. Food is tasty. Specially beef variyellu roast is really delicious. I tried chattichoru but the rice was bit oily otherwise the side dishes are really tasty.
Biriyani is tasty and reasonably priced. Probably one of the best in Riyadh. Apart from that most items are heavily overpriced. Not justifiable by any standards. Wondering on what logic do they fix prices.
The Canteen will be the good answer for having nice Indian restaurant in Olaya. You can find different varieites of indian foods especially South indian, north indian and chinese foods.
Highly recommended Delicious freshly made Indian food taste amazing very good portion in normal price Staff is helpful clean and good atmosphere Mr Asif is professional and helpful
Our family is a regular customers of "THE CANTEEN"and last time we buy meals. Please don't shere meals to your children or friends. If shere, you should pay extra money. The food was not very good. I never recommended
Be careful with their billing if you visit there with a big team like us. I will rate them 2 stars because of the way they treated (cheated) our team of 40+ in billing. We informed them about our dinner plan at this restaurant 2 hours before our visit. We mentioned the items that we needed. Some of the items requested were not available when they were served. I don't know what happened, when the bill came, they added items that were not served. They have added double charges for water and the number of bottles served also doubled. The quantity of each item was not proportional to the pricing compared to other similar restaurants. The green salad was ordered and they served chopped onion+carrot+tomato. That was overpriced. When complained they canceled this amount. Beef fry was not served, but it was on the bill. One "chicken vasantham" was ordered and 2 were in the bill. They taught us a good lesson about how carefully we should cross-check bills at restaurants when visiting them with a big tea.
Had been to this place for the second time.and unfortunately the place seems totally unclean.leftover on tables.and the floors were messed.no one bothers to clean the table.left the place without ordering anything It's a very good location, and restaurant layout is also good, but please do maintain If not you will loose all the customers
We had a great experience here in this canteen with yummy dishes.and the uniqness is the seating arrangement, which we felt like travelling in the train.
This is on Olaya Road. It is a North kerala restaurant, as I was told. It has a family section (cubicles) and a singles section. The food was heavy on the garam masala. The portions were small, but then the prices weren't steep. The decor could do with a touch up, but then I wasn't expecting anything fancy. The mutton served was fatty and had a lot of bones. Generally, it was ok, for a try. Would I go there again? No. Recommended? If you like kerala food, then go, otherwise a big no.
Nice food Staff need to understand how to deal with customers Family section is tied and no space for more than 4 persons I have taken out to stars for the staff behavior
The most delicious butter chicken I've ever eaten! U can taste spices, tomatoes, and sooo creamy yet not oily at ALL! I would recommend it whenever we're craving Indian food️ All the best Canteen!
