Edit: earlier this place was my favourite spot for Indian chat. Now the chef is changed, the server is changed. The food is terrible. Overly spicy and oily and doesn’t taste good at all! Not visiting again.
The best: The guy who serves. There’s only 1 guy who serves food. He’s a young boy from India. He’s very polite and hard working. Don’t forget to pay him tip every time. He deserves it.
The good: Indian chat items. Good vada pav, tasty pani puri, samosas, chole bature and dahi puri are all good. Don’t compare the taste with Indian restaurants in India. From my experience this is as close to Indian taste you can get in Jeddah when it comes to Indian snacks or street food. Milk sweets like rasgulla and rasmalai are average but the best you get in J town. Other sweets are good as well except Kaju Kathli. From my experience after you have Kaju kathli from few special places in India, you’ll never like it anywhere else.
The bad: Ambience. It’s a big let down. Feels very cheap. Bad lighting. I don’t understand the blue lighting. It feels funny and cheap at the same time. Need a revamp very badly.
The best thing I like about mezbaan is chats. Pani Puri dahi Puri is one of my favourite at this place. There is quite other tempting items included in list like chole bhature aloo tikki chat.n so on
Pav bhaji is good. I found papdi chat and tikki dahi puri of same taste, not a little difference too. Pani was good too but not of Indian taste. There sweets are really good in taste. Sev puri also tastes good
Be aware they changed the expiry date cap of rasmalai cup yesterday they did the same to me rasmalai was expired but they replaced the cap of expiry it was too salty and taste totally changed they may think they fooled me but unfortunately they lost a customer.
Great place for Indian sweets and snacks. They have variety of chat foods. Do give them a try. Good place for families and separate section on first floor.
The only option here in the ballad area apart from the opposite lane behind the store is the Pakistani sweet shop.
It's a very small sitting area, Sometimes the samosa looks baked a long time ago. The staff are very slow to listen to and serve you.you could try but dont expect much from this store.
They only accept cash for billing so be careful before ordering something.
Excellent place with a lot of quality product and the best Tea ever I suppose (should make without sugar too). All good items are very tasty and fresh.
A must go place to have wide variety of chats, crunchies, fried snacks with lots of courtesy and hospitality from staff. One can definitely enjoy a Hyderabadi style tea here. Looks pricey but taste and quality of all items match the price. One would never be dissatisfied.
Good place for desi snacks.fresh and tasty, lively atmosphere, good service. Had choley bature and pav bhaji.very tasty must try.chai will be completing the menu.
One of best for North Indian “Chaat-chator”… Visit for Varieties of Indian sweets, Indian fast food and the Tea ️ Best for Chole bhatoore, Paw bhaji, Dahi puree & Pani poori (not that spicy) etc
Only problem is his blue light decoration @ Diners
The one stop shop for all the Indian Spicey Fast Food in Jeddah region. Taste is good, seperate sitting arrangement for Male and Family on 1st floor Washroom available Cash and Card facility is there but Cash preferred. Ame parking in Front of the Shop being in Manar Market it jas its advantage. Shop with the Same Name and Owner is in Khobar region with same facility and services but taste wise Jeddah Mezban is better. Earlier its tea was superb but now gradually its loosing the quality. Prices are affordable, but quality is getting inferior in comparison to before. It may be because of change in chef or any other reason but they need to check this before they start loosing the Footfall in to the Shop. Altogether as of now it's the only shop which is providing Taste of India in Jeddah (for Fast food).
Pani puri was not good little also.pav baji was good. Samosa chat was better. We went after esha there. Order process was waiting.everyone there was having chole Batura may be that was yummy there we didn't tried but I will visit the place again just to try chole batura. Sweets are of Indian taste liked a lot
Food is really good and yummy.spicy lovers and sweet lovers both can get satisfied.but they will not wipe the table and take out the used plates and glass until someone request them.also one dangerous practice that I seen is when the close during namaz time, they will lock the customer from outside and go, what if any fire showed up or any short circuit happened or what will do if someonehad some medical emergency like cardiac arrest.no one can escape until they come back from salah and open the shutter.this is very danger.
This used to be my favourite shop and I was regular customer, But one day I saw them making Chat Literally, I never been there, Got so much disappointed!
Their tea is amazing! Would definitely reccomend it. Chats are ok but the pani puri is a let down.will not reccomend the pani puri.also dont mind the language of the elderly guy at the chaat station, he is abusive and loud, but you just need to tune him out, rest service is ok.
Sometimes I have had great experience and sometimes it has been disappointing. But overall its a good place to take out for chaat! I really liked the Vada pav; Pau Bhaaji and the papri chaat. Very few places in Jeddah serve these items!
Changing my review. Too very bad place. Will not recommend even for tea. Smelly place with cockroaches. No taste at all. Taste is like old and oily food. Do not feed your children here.
Very rude behaviour of the cashier and the staff who serves you. They forget that their business runs through customer satisfaction. They will make you feel that you are doing some big mistake to go to them and order anything. It's expensive and very arrogant towards the customers!
A decent option of sweets and chats, mostly people prefer Mezban for its Tea. Excellent veriety of chat options and one of the best in Jeddah in taste wise.
Staffs are non friendly and especially Rude behaviour of the cashier or a kid sitting at the counter is big MINUS POINT. I would recommend a more fridly and communicatable person at the counter. Everytime i communicate this guy, he triggers, it seems like he is up for a fight anytime
Good quantity. Golgappe or pani puri is not like Nirala's. Dahi bhalle is ok. Always ask for extra chutneys. Sweets like motichor ke laddu, rasgullas are very yum!
The customer service was very bad One staff even scolded me And I was very confused because why he shout at me And no one wearing gloves or mask It was dirty I will never come again
The best taste of Indian sweets and chaats in Jeddah. Love their cham cham and gulab jamoon. Ofcourse their signature masala chaai self served readly from the tap is not to be missed on any visit there. Some days I drive 8kms to just have a cup of their lovely chaai.
There chai and chat are unique and dilecious. They have unique Indian sweets and barfi. Whoever needs light sweet items, they can choose vivid collection here. Specially good for display in any occasion as their sweets are colorful and have good packaging. But, fine and nirala sweets are superior in taste. They have Shabab or single male dining I the upper floor
The taste is good, no doubt. However they do need to work on their cleanliness and hygiene. I felt like they really slack off in that department and seriously need to work on that area.
Mezbaan sweets produces best sweet bakeries products. Evening tea is good in both quality and quantity with a affordable price. Evening while I'm passing through the area I used to have a tea from there. The tea costs 2 riyal and also self service for tea. We don't need to wait for a staff.we can directly enter to the shop and take it easy, tea is ready for you in a tumbler. Sweet snacks especially for North Indians and Pakistani's. Such as yummy Gulab Jam, Laddu.etc.
Food quality is good. Good options for quick bite. But, it appears that the good amount of business has also got into the heads of the staff. At instances felt as if each one of them own the place. Staff is not helpful/ cooperative at times. Closure timings for prayers highly uncertain, at times closes just on adhaan and at times 30-40 mins before adhaan.
Nice place to eat quick desi chaat.staff are friendly. Service is also good.their tea is awesome.they have varieties of sweets and snacks.has family section renovated recently.the entrance is really conjusted.
Tasty snack items from India. Recently they have increased the spice level which is good for some items but not good for some. Their sweets are also worth trying but not all. I go for the savory stuff only. Staff is helpful and there is a sitting area also but you will be lucky if you find place there since it's a small area.
Really good place for Karak Tea. They have some decent indian snacks. We like their Dahi poori. Other good items are vegetable cutlets, Kaju Katli and Pao Bhaji.
