Purchased Mutton Biryani.
Pros. Tasted ok.
Cons. Not as I was expecting. Also too salty and a lot of mutton was having scraping (Khurchan).

Haleem and Carrot (gajar) ka halwa was very tasty!

Despite on a premium location, the food and service is pathetic.
A very long descriptive menu without being items available for serving.
Would never visit again.
The only relief at the end was Birayanj which was little better than everything we had.

Special mutton biriyani is delicious.other than mutton they keep few boiled eggs and some chicken pieces on top of the biriyani.

Excellent taste and flavours, perhaps the best Hydrabadi Biryani in town, worth giving a try. Pricier than other competitors like Nizami in Khobar Shumalia. P. S.they should generate all items invoice and avoid handwritten items (may be to avoid tax, which is not right).

The quality of food is now going low.

In today's Biryani, nothing was special. Meet was 20%, bones 80%.

Food is really good and tasty especiallymutton dhum biryani.delicious shahi tukda and matka firni.there's big tables for big families or friends.we'll maintained.

Disappointed as far as quality of taste was concerned. The Barbecue platter had a disturbing taste of Mustard Oil. Biryani was doable but not as good as the decorum would suggest

Biriyani is good but The price is not worth and the service is very poor also there is no enough air condition

The Hyderabadi biriyani had the flavor but the mutton in it was not good enough. The mutton peices were hard and tough with a rubber like texture. Whats a hydrabadi biriyani without a good mutton.
Which is y i puy only 2 starts.
And this place a better cooling system in place. The air conditioning is horrible!

Only worth if your wealthy, dining with family, only wanna eat hyderabadi.once a year dineable type of restaurant at best.

Food was good but the issue is its not worth in value.

We ordered biryani, chicken 65 and grilled combo. Grilled items were overcooked way too dry. Though Mutton Biryani had no salt in it but the meat was cooked to perfection and the dish was well presented with boiled eggs and pieces of chicken garnished on top. Chicken 65 was not really chicken 65, they need to improve the recipe.

Average experience and not bad overall. All the dishes were okayish but nothing was great in particular. Mutton biriyani was good, and the Mutton used in all the dishes were of very good quality. Slightly on the expensive side. Special mutton biriyani (92sar) is recommended and can be served for 3-4 people. Ambiance and presentation too is average. Food served could have been hotter.
Overall 3/5 and recommended for one time visit.

Daily wage workers serving in hospitality sector. Totally mismanaged, idli dosa restaurants operate at much better efficiency with a single person. 50 riyal biryani is actually worth 15 riyals only and not a penny more. The quantity of Dum Ka Chicken for 40 riyals is not worth it. Cherry on top, count your rotis while eating or you will find that a few more have been added to your bill.

Bad service like showing employees lak of experience, when i visited at peak time all items are not available

Good ambience, good hyderabadi biryani.need a little improvement in hyderabadi cuisine to survive its competitors.overall its good hyderabadi food.

Very good food.tried their Afghani chicken and mutton biriyani.both really good. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Needs improvement in taste n quality.gotta no that it has been opened up recently but poor staff management, staff is mostly confused as to whom to serve, no menu card or let’s put it this way “ limited menu “ just 3-4 dishes that’s it, didn’t feel like I was in hyd as the biryani lacked the typical hyderabadi flavor. Ordered chicken biryani and found traces of mutton in it.it’s alright.visited with lots of expectations n walked out with dissatisfaction.

This place is so overrated. Ordered special mutton biryani and chicken manchuria, and i didn't find any hyderabadi flavour in biryani.

After screening so many reviews, I was in a dilemma whether I shall dine their or not, but finally couldn't resist myself and was really curious to know the taste of the Hyderabadi Cuisine. Hence, on 15th August i.e yesterday since it was my hubby's birthday we had dinner with family at lunchbox restaurant, Khobar. Firstly, lets talk about the ambience, yes its good I mean very good neat and clean but the entrance for both the single and family section is same but that doesn't matter, anyhow u will be dining separately at the 1st floor in the family section. Secondly, the order, it was taken immediately as v got settled in our seats. Third, the food arrived earlier much more than what we expected, v thought it would be more late. We had Saas Bahu Thaal, the food was served hot and I must say all the dishes in the thaali was awesome and specially mutton biriyani and the sweet qubaani mouth watering. My advice is that don't go with the bad reviews, the food was too delicious and worth it. The service was extremely satisfying. Yes, but if u r going on the weekends u must have the patience to wait both inside and outside the restaurant. But it is worth, my suggestion is u can go for it. One of the best restaurants for the families.

Worst food I ever had in Khobar.
1) Cook don't even know how to prepare food. We had uncooked Biryani filled with water.
2) service is pathetic. We have waited almost 50 minutes just to get cold Dum ka chicken and Biryani.
3) Food is very expensive. I strongly recommend not to waste time and money. Not worthy at all for that heavy price. Totally disappointed.

Baldiya should take action against these guys for cheating customers for providing uncooked food.

I've visited this hotel, iam waiting for my order for an hour and still did not recieve the food- me including more 3 people have been waiting for an hour very bad service! The staff is ignoring the customers if they are trying to ask when is their order getting done. It's overrated the service and the food both are low skilled and low quality. We had to walk out without having dinner. Ridiculous!

When it comes to food, of course, Hyderabadi Biryani is on the Top.

Now coming to rating “Lunch Box. ”
Another name would be “Waiting Box. ” jokes apart

Now, I will tell you exactly what happened on Saturday night (Dinner time) at 7: 30 we arrived at the restaurant, friendly welcome; good sitting arrangement.

The waiter came with a menu, and we order our food (including Saudi champagne)

After ages of waiting, finally, we got our starters, we ate it and again waiting for our main course (and that took almost 22 mins after starters.

Finally, the main course arrived, and now we are waiting for our drink.

Which never come to the table even after we finished (BTW, two times I asked the waiter, he said the chef is preparing.

Anyway, we finished our dinner without Saudi champagne

Later, I saw Saudi champagne in the bill only (but removed it later from the bill)

Coming to the taste, it’s alright, not too good or bad;

But yes, Biryani is worth trying! (prefer to take away next time)

3* only for Biryani!

Good hyderabadi food. Spl biryani and dum ka chicken was awesome. Above average on the budget side. Neat clean hygienic.
Decent ambience. Opens at 7 00 pm.

After seeing many reviews, I was reluctant to try this restaurant. But after a lot of days finally we decided to try it n I do not regret the decision.

We tried
Dum Ka Chicken. It was really awesome
Mutton Biryani. Rich in taste
Lassi.not so good, need to improve a lot on this

Wil sure visit again to try other specilities

The food quilty very good and testy food but the problem is that service not good and don't go is weekend

Had our dinner last night and I must say it was a terrible experience. This restaurant is a disgrace to the name of Hyderabadi Cuisine. It is neither anywhere close to the authentic budget restaurants like Shalimar and shama who are famous for service Authentic Hyderabidi dishes nor can compete with high end Indian cuisine restaurants like Talwar and copper Chandni. There is no menu card available and not much choices to order your food. We ordered mutton biryani Family pack for two person and it turned out to be insipid and tasteless. Which cost us SR 75. Any one looking for Hyderabidi Cuisine advised to stay away from this restaurant.

We ordered Mutton Biryani (Family Pack). Rice seemed undercooked. The taste is non satisfactory, mutton not at all tender. Quantity is too less and mostly overpriced!

A shalimar or a Khana Khazana seem better options. A lot was expected out of Lunch Box but its all glitter and no gold at all.

This is my second time I have visited LUNCH BOX in KHOBAR. I am very much disappointed with the Service and Dishes.they have list of bbq but available only sizzler which is higher price dish and tasteless (Andhra ke bandiwale / lambadey usse bhi acha Banalete) biryani tooo much. SAR 75 its not even worth SAR 30, have to search and find atleast proper one or two small mutton piece. BBQ was like prepared yesterday and served today.two person visit and paid SAR 250.it’s totally worthless. MR.so called Hyderabadi manager if you can manage then continue or else don’t insult Hyderabadi food which is famous in world.

OHHHOO where is Social Media Ustaad kahan baigan pakadne gaye the aap.pinde mein miladera na, BBQ bolke.chu chu banarain sab ko.lastly no air condition they are just keeping Small fans.fly bees were on the dishes. I was with my saudi office colleague and he was laughing on Hyderabadi food and service.shame on all of you.

Lastly, woh short Bangladeshi usko Indian language samaj nahi aari woh order lera.

It was not a BBQ it was like waste expired chicken can served Cats and dogs but serving us.

Very bad service. They don’t have any thing in their menu. I have visited with my family and they have only biryani and nothing else. Too bad don’t ever visit this restaurant.

The best Biryani in town. We had the special Biryani with Chicken 65 topping The mutton was very tender and juicy. The best Biryani one can have. Slightly higher rates compared to others but definitely worth it.

Our dinner was barely palatable because the food was worst, that I could barely eat it. Worst food my family have ever eaten. Waste of money and time and also disappointed with services. Not a single point to visit it again

Please do not read the reviews of what other people have written.try it urself.i don’t know why people have mentioned this to be a bad biryani.the only reason is because they want it cheap.they are comparing this with other hyderabadi restaurants which costs around 15 or 20 riyals.
This biryani is way above all the restaurants that serve biryani here in khobar and dammam.the taste is perfect.the meat is tender.it’s amazing.the quantity is adequate for the price they are charging.this is worth every penny.i’m so glad i have finally found a place that serves biryani of this quality and taste.the hype of this place was worth it.

This is a 40 riyal biryani. Money isn't my problem, problem is that the quality and taste i was expecting for this amount was not there at all. I have tasted better biryani then this in 20 riyal. There was no masala in the rice excpt oil (tary). The little masala was found sticking to the mutton and thats it. I swear this biryani won't let me forget the biryani my mom makes or even the one i can. A friend of mine, if he tasted this biryani he won't shut up talking abt hiw bad the quality of rice is. That would be my funeral if i suggest him this biryani.

The only thing which make sense to me for high price is that u put some cashews on top of your biryani for visual effect.

To the owners, thats not my problem that u t selling for high price. My concern is if i am getting what i am paying for.

After tasting ur biryani, i am not going to taste anything else from your place. You need to think hard and revisit your recipe.

The food was average only. The quantity of biriyani was plenty. The biriyani waa tasty. Chicken 65 was like chicken pakoda. They servered soup together with the dish. The soup was to be servered before main dishes. The food price is above average. Moderatly high.

Crowded, Visited Thursday evening. Receptionist advised to wait outside in car and promised to call back on my mobile but it has not happened yet.

I have visited today with family and mutton biriyani taste was toooo yummy.loved the food.

Dumka chicken is all time favorite in this restaurant. I recommend you guys to visit with family and enjoy the food.
