Maharaja Indian cuisine by Vineet in Movenpick Khobar Hotel is an exceptional authentic taste and presentation experience that you may find in restaurants managed by Vineet only.
We got the set menu, it was really expensive for the quality of the food served, which was average to low compared with any normal indian restaurant. For the food you would definitely never guess the chef has Michelin stars. First of all everything is spicy, so if you dont like spicy food dont even bother to eat here, it would be useles to tell the waiters. The tandoori, aswell as chicken and lamb in gravy were dry and the dishes had no special flavour or preparation which justifies the price. The set menu comes without rice as a side for three gravy dishes and when you realise and want to order any rice it takes minimum 10min to prepare. The restaurant itself is nothing special. On the next day I was sick in my stomach! Big dissapointment!
This place has the worst customer service ever I tried to reserve a table prior to 6.30pm and my call was transferred to room service whom told me that I can come by the restaurant at anytime I also sent an email to book a table but received no reply Later on, I called the restaurant just by chance to make sure about table availability The restaurant informed me that it’s fully booked for today! The guy who answered my call told me that I can check with another restaurant! Seriously Maharaja? Is this the way you treat your loyal customers? But guess what we actually went to another restaurant, and we had a wonderful food/atmosphere/ treatment experience. Your loss, not ours.
One of my favourite restaurants in khobar by not only a Michelin star chef but also a friend Vineet. I went there yesterday for lunch and had the same wonderful experience as before, last time I had the pleasure of eating there before yesterday was 2 years ago, the quality is superb and the cook on the chicken we ordered was beautiful. I only take my closest or most honorable friends and acquaintances to this gem. My friend was blown away by the simple yet incredible flavour of the food we ordered which was murgh tamatari, coconut rice and tandoori chooza. The chicken dishes were lovely the rice was delectable and since I've been a regular customer in the past and the staff is wonderful, they treated us to complimentary vege rolls in the start of our meal and were very friendly and attentive to us. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for gourmet prides of Indian Street food done gorgeously and served so delicately. Please keep it up as I'm very satisfied with the fact the quality has only improved since I last visited.
Perfect restaurant, 10/10. The food is really good and the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. We had a great time and they prepared a basket of flowers as complimentary for us. Many thanks to all staff, in particular Jamshid!
Among the best Indian restaurants in alkhobar it’s abit pricy but offers good atmosphere for family lunches, من افضل المطاعم الهندية بالخبر شوي غالي لكن جلساته حلوه للعوايل ورايق طلبنا فلفل وسط لكن كان قافله قليل جدا قولوا له يحط فلفل زيادة ممكن احسن.
Royalty Indian Risturant Complex taste that can not be found elsewhere Even the hamour fish, taste like butter The tast is un matched from the simple lentle soup the most complex meet dishes Elite taste Best, probably world wide , the team makes you feel so welcome, thanks to All, Ave 75$-100$/ person
The food was OK. The service was slow even though there were only a few tables occupied. Tomato soup was nice and flavorful. The lamb biryani and kabab were below average. The assorted deserts from the set menu were average, the ice cream was the best of the 3 options. The cauliflower was best out of the set menu main dishes, followed by the chicken masala.
Maybe I was expecting too much but on the day there i did not feel like anything on the menu was different from another indian restaurant except that it was a lot more expensive. The place is nice and the staff super friendly. We had a small appetizer and some sweet offered. I don't like sweet that have spices or rice so I was not impressed but that's the same in all indian restaurants. The lentil soup was good but too spicy to taste any lentil, the dahl was extremely salty (drank a lot during the night), the biryani was really really good. Overall I was not impressed.
Wow.very attractive comfortable high ceiling oriental decoration and corners. The food is authentic classical Indian that if you taste will not stop eating any choice you have. Recommended 100%
Maharaja is one of the best Indian restaurants in Eastern region. Also I would like to thank Zafry for great service and free cake for my wedding anniversary
This Indian restaurant is inside the Movenpick hotel. The decor is very nice and the service is EXCELLENT. The food however is a mixed bag. Some are excellent and others are mediocre. My favourite was the Gobi Manchurian. The beiryani, and dal especially the black dal (dal mahrani) was very good. Lentil soup and aloo chat was good. The Nawabi kaas (mixed tandoor grill) was mediocre and I could not complete my dish. Considering the price of about $80 per person for a full meal I expected more. It is unlikely that I will go again.
We celebrated my wife’s birthday and we ordered purda biryani, lamb qorma and seekh kabab. We also ordered gobi manuchurian for starters which was amazing. Not only the food was great, but Gino and Golom, our servers made the night special by arranging a special birthday surprise for my wife on the restaurants’s behalf. Best two hours of dining experience made all the more special by the helpful and courteous service. It was our first time but definitely we will come back again.
Absolutely incredible. The best Indian restaurant in Saudi. The service, the food.spectacular. Especially our server Vishnu - he went above and beyond & he even remembered our order from our visit months prior. 10/10

Amazing Hospitality by Abdul Amin, Gholam and Ismail Authentic food and taste. On special ocassions they treat u well. Great presentation. Must try again and again. Thank you Maharaja for giving a Maharaja experience.
If you are looking for an Indian food this place is the jackpot. Fresh ingredients, excellent taste and the decoration put you in the middle of the vibe.
The most important part of a restaurant is the food, and every time I go here, I have the best experience for Indian food. All the staff is super polite and attentive! I keep going as usual once a week, during cold season in Saudi After Ramadan we tried the truffle coastal lamb, the most delicious dish i ever tried
Service is excellent, seating and restaurant vibe is above average, but food is at best average for such a pricey restaurant. Tried their Samosas and they were great, main dishes (Butter Chicken, Biryani Rice, and Lamb Rogan Josh) were average.
The rating is mainly for food taste not at all for the service
Food 8/10 Service 4/10 Ambience 8/10
Service: No waiter in my section Have to wait till he passes by. Raised my hand several times but ignored it till I said excuse me he responded. I ordered tea after dinner. I had to ask him to clean the table then bring tea back!
Food: Samoa 9/10 Meat plater contains (kabab, fish, shrimp, chicken) 6/10 the chicken is the best the rest overcooked and heavily spiced Dal Maharani 9/10 Shrimp biryani 9/10 Complemented spring roll 9/10 Complemented Indian chips and dipping sauces 7/10 the mango sauce tasteless

Very disappointed with quality of food. Went there with high expectations since I tried Vineets restaurant in Dubai. But it was absolute disappointment. Chicken in biryani and curry was dry and felt like hard cotton balls.

Great Indian restaurant. One of Khobar, 's finest.
I wish they use less sauses when decorating the appetizers as the exaggerate a bit. Fine dining is about having delicate taste.
Other than that the food is great especially the grilled tandoori chicken, the bread and the chicken masala. It is considered as an expensive restaurant, so don't be shocked.
#مطعم_هندي جميل المكان جميل ومريح كمية #الطعام مقبول احترافية في #تعامل_الموظفين وتقديم الطعام رائحة المكان جميلة النكهة عادية وجيدة المكان #رومنسي جدا

What do you expect from a 3 Michelin star chef. WWWOOOOOOOOWWWWW! I can't believe we have a Michelin star restaurant by vineet in khobar and we can find reservations! Hahaha 3 Michelin stars! The best Indian food ever
The best Indian Resturant. No words can be enough to describe the marvelous one and half hour we spent at this restaurant. You will lose a lot if you didn’t try. And when you try it once you will not go to any other Indian Resturant. Food is great. Service is great. Interior is great. Hospitality is great. Location inside Movenpick hotel is great choice. Thank you very much for the marvelous experience we had.
Probably the best Indian food I've ever had. I could just eat the fried cauliflower and be good. The waiters were very accommodating. All ten guests were given these spring rolls for free. Would definitely recommend!
This is not an indian restaurant. Just name is indian but the food is more to the liking of Saudis. Not spicy and delicious like indian food.i agree it's a fine dining restaurant but doesn't mean that you can compromise on indian taste. Vineet Bhatia, the globe-trotting super chef who owns Michelin-starred restaurants in London and Geneva is not good in maintaining this restaurant just a simple chicken tandoori they could not cook it right. The chicken was dry and mushy and only taste I got was of yogurt. And loaded with red food colour. I have had "innovatively rethought Indian classics"but this restaurant even failed in dessert a simple phirni was rubbish. So tasteless.why do we order dessert to eat something sweet but it was not sweet as if we had diabetes, and on top loaded with almond flakes.did not like it a bit.what I really liked was chicken masala and butter naan.i had ordered chicken kulcha which was salty and burnt so had to give back and asked them to replace it.by just keeping sky high price the restaurant wont become fine dining indian restaurant please maintain food quality and taste.it should not be just visually appealing but SHOULD TASTE GOOD. Staff there were not so friendly and we had to call so many time before they responded to us.even two of the waiters were openly fighting not bothered if customers were seeing them or not. Ambience is ok very dark only a small table light. Setting is ok.felt a bit depressing in dark area.
It is one of the be best Fine Dining restaurant. Food Quality & Taste Authenticity is upto the Fine Dining standard. Ambiance is amazing. For Vegetarians also, there are many food options! Desserts are Awesome
Sanjith how was standing at the entrance and was claiming to be the restaurant manager, was very rude and inconsiderate. If this restaurant claimes to be of high standards, then they should know how to choose a person to handle clients. I use to be a regular client, but now I would never go back again to that place.
This is one of the best Indian restaurants I've been too period. All of the options are good here and you can't go wrong. The restaurant lighting is a bit dark for my taste but not unpleasant.
Oh mayn what a place this was! We were here for business lunch and we pretty much ordered every type of dish you can think of lol. Best items were kebabs, lamb shank, butter chicken and biriyani. Upscale Indian restaurant were the price is on the higher side. Definitely worth your money for nice food and excellent ambience. Would definitely recommend for special occasions. All of my Saudi business associates loved this place and they said its one of their go to place for Indian food.
