Very very spicy Bihari Kabab, I am still sweating; bit expensive as compare to the taste. Excellent Tikka that comes with Lentil also worth enjoying. They insist on cash payment, which should be avoided.
A Disappointing Return to Candle Grill Restaurant.
My recent revisit to Candle Grill Restaurant in Khobar, after a six-year hiatus, was far from the culinary journey I had anticipated. Sadly, the experience left much to be desired, and the nostalgia of past visits was overshadowed by the current disappointment.
The first sign that this visit would differ from my memories was the excessive use of spices in almost every dish. The authenticity that I once associated with Candle Grill seemed to have disappeared. From the Chicken Tikka to the kebabs, the overwhelming spiciness masked any genuine flavor, leaving me longing for the genuine taste of these dishes.
The Chicken Tikka, typically a succulent delight, was overcooked and dry, lacking the tenderness that makes it a favorite. The kebabs, whether chicken or meat, presented a different set of issues. They were inexplicably difficult to chew, leaving me questioning their composition. It was a far cry from the delectable kebabs I had remembered.
I had hoped for redemption in the form of Behari kebabs, but they, too, disappointed. Despite requesting that they be well-cooked, the unappetizing texture and lackluster taste remained. The absence of the flavors that once defined these dishes was disheartening.
A particularly baffling change was the practice of charging extra for Daal, which was previously a complimentary side. The additional cost of 9 SAR seemed unjustified for what was once a complimentary and integral part of the meal.
In conclusion, my return to Candle Grill Restaurant was marked by disappointment and a stark contrast to the fond memories I had cherished years ago. The excessive spicing, overcooked chicken, tough kebabs, and the unexpected extra charge for Daal left me questioning whether the restaurant had lost its way. It's a reminder that the evolution of a restaurant's menu should enhance the dining experience, not detract from it.
The most amazing bbq in khobar or riyadh so far. This place deserves huge respect and new dinning area. Overall its was eye opening experience its somewhere better bbq than some places in Karachi it self
A culinary adventure took me to the heart of Khobar, where I discovered Candle Grill, a Pakistani restaurant that knows how to tantalize taste buds with their mouthwatering offerings.
The star of the show at Candle Grill is undoubtedly their chicken tikka, and it's no surprise why. The succulent pieces of chicken, marinated to perfection and grilled to smoky perfection, were a symphony of flavors. Paired with the soft and thin romali roti, it was a match made in food heaven.
For the perfect complement to this delightful meal, their daal was the ideal choice. Creamy and rich, it added depth to the dish that left me craving for more.
Candle Grill recently underwent renovations, and it reflects in the clean and inviting ambiance. The staff is friendly, and while the service might take a tad longer, the wait is worth every delicious bite.
Now, a word of advice for fellow spice enthusiasts – Candle Grill doesn't hold back on the heat. Their chicken tikka is wonderfully spicy, so be sure to have extra napkins on hand!
The only drawback? Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but the delightful flavors more than make up for it. Candle Grill is a true gem for those seeking authentic Pakistani cuisine in Khobar. Don't miss out on this spicy experience!
We ordered 1 mutton boty and i felt it was old meat as it had a rotten smell and and the meat was hard and cold. The funniest part is that when i said this to the waiter and he was trying to argue with me saying this is how it smells and even the meat had blood stains i am sure the meat is 1 week old or more!
Best grilled chicken in city. Fresh, hot, spicy and tasty grill. Rumali roti is authentic and so soft. Customer service also seems good. You must wait a bit for that special bites!
I have tried their tikka and its so delicious. Original taste of pakistani bbq served with lihafi roti and daal. Spicy tikka is not recommended as its too spicy. Normal tikka has enough flavor. Cold drinks are available too.
Tikka is Best with combination of Daal. Bihari Kabab is also very delicious and rates are quite reasonable. Small place of families which bit lacks ambience but still Recommended.
Taste is not authentic Pakistani Tikka. Not too many options to choose from and their order persons standing outside charge extra couple of riyals for nothing.
A little place stuck in the 90's but dear me if it's not the best chicken I've had in my entire life. Old-school Pakistani authentic food. You will never see a Saudi in this place.
Personally I visited here frequently, Its genuine Pakistani food, but any Indian, Bangladeshi also enjoyed their delicious food with a paying of a minimum charge of 10 sar, You can get roti and chana dal unlimited with quarter chicken only in 10 sar. Please visit once and enjoy your dish like a home.
Food is good and very cheap. Seating is very limited & crowded on weekends. I would have rated 1 for the ambience but with the price they are offering it's okey.
The tikka's are good but aren't juicy. The seating is very compact and the cleanliness is what needs to be worked upon. Menu is not displayable. Needs update.
Nice restaurant. Affordable prices. The place overall could been neater. Cleanliness is not upto the mark but its okay. Improving that aspect alone would fetch it 5 stars.
تكا الدجاج من الآخر و دجاج كورما و الرز كلام كبير و السعر من اجمل ما يكون Very dilciouse Tikka and the chicken korma and the rice from another world, the price is very acceptable
The Tikka here is the best one I have ever tried. It's spicy and the rotis are so soft. If you are hungry u should go there. Parking is very difficult to find and not recommend for family for a dine inn
If you looking for good taste and completely cooked chicken tikka then visit on week days. Chicken tikka, romali roti and bihari kabab are good options.
Best hotel ever I found in eastern province for grill chicken. Just like the Indian taste. I travel 120 kms evry weekend just to eat here. I strongly recommend to try at this place. And the price is just way to cheap.
Best tikkas for the price.also try the chicken karahi just had it today. Ever since they reopened they cleaned out the entire place and made good arrangements and serving is better than ever before
We had a v bad experience of chicken tikka here. The chicken used was old and smelled bad. We turned back without eating. And they refused to get the return or replace food.
